Sitting on the west side of the Thames River with New London to the south and Norwich to the north, Montville is about halfway between New York City and Boston.
The 44 square mile town was incorporated in 1786. The area is progressive, while maintaining a quiet, rural feel. Montville is home to the Uncasville village; host to the wildly popular Mohegan Sun Casino.
The area features many attractive residential options, including eye catching condos as well as more traditional single-family homes. A 160 acre park, an active community center, Gardners Lake, Fort Shantock State Park and a town boat launch are among the town's recreational resources.
