The picturesque town of Holland, Massachusetts is located on the Massachusetts-Connecticut border. It is conveniently located just 45 minutes from the city of Springfield.
Holland offers what may well be the most idyllic New England village atmosphere. It is home to the Hamilton Reservoir, one of the largest reservoirs in southern New England. It is stocked yearly with trout by the state of Massachusetts for the enjoyment of fishermen. Boating, swimming, or just taking in the breathtaking scenery make a day at the reservoir an oasis of tranquility.
Lake Siog (also called Holland Pond) provides further recreational opportunities with its park and swimming area. Canoe rental is available to take advantage of the calm waters and sounds of nature.
Families enjoy Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp Reserve. The park features water slides, pools, tractor rides, and a petting zoo. Little ones enjoy the photo ops with Yogi Bear and Booboo.
Holland hosts just one public school: Holland Elementary School. Around 200 children attend this K-6 school.
For its picturesque scenery, great education, and down-home feel, Holland is a breath of fresh air.
