Bristol is a town steeped in rich, American history and prides itself on having the oldest continuously celebrated Independence Day festivities.
Besides historical interest, Bristol boasts many parks, museums and restaurants. Colt State Park is a beautiful site featuring a rocky shoreline, picnic spots, wooded areas, and beautifully landscaped green areas. The park's skateboard park, baseball fields, and a playground are great places for kids to hang out.
Blithewold Mansion, and Linden Place Mansion are both exquisite, historical homes that can be toured, and even rented out for special occasions, such as weddings.
Bristol is home to three elementary schools, and a high school. Students in middle school attend in the nearby town of Warren, which also holds an additional elementary school.
With its rich history, and cultural offerings, Bristol remains a gem in the state of Rhode Island.
