East Providence is the fifth largest city in Rhode Island.
The nearly 17 square miles of East Providence are divided into five different and distinctive neighborhoods; Phillipsdale, Rumford, Watchemoket, Kent Heights and Riverside. One of East Providence's top attractions, the carousel, is all that remains of the resort community of the roaring 20's. The carousel is still in operation today.
There are nearly 47,000 residents in East Providence. The East Providence School District provides education to 5,800 students. There are eight elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. The East Providence High School boasts a graduation rate of 94.
With close proximity to Providence, Warwick, and Cranston, many have decided that East Providence is an excellent place to make roots.
