Jane Armstrong moved to New Canaan 22 years ago with her husband, Ross and has called it home ever since. She didn't have to venture too far from her hometown on Long Island and considers herself lucky to have extended family in town too. Raising four children during those years has given her an appreciation for and understanding of just what makes New Canaan tick. She presently has one rising senior at NCHS, two in college and one working in Boston, MA.
Jane received her BA in Economics and French from the University of Vermont and started her career in the Public Relations department at E.F. Hutton in NYC. A series of corporate mergers ultimately landed her a job in the Corporate Events Department at Lehman Brothers where she worked closely with the Sales and Trading and Investment Banking divisions until 1993. Being in the client service industry has prepared her well for the real estate arena ~ "it was a very demanding job where every "t" had to be crossed and every "i" had to be dotted ~ no stone was left unturned, no request too big or too small, and every client was top priority."
After settling down in New Canaan, Jane dug in and became active in all aspects of her children's lives, from the classroom to the sports fields. Her community involvement over the years has included the Newcomers Board, the Outback Teen Center Board, the New Canaan Baseball Board, Young Women's League, Sunday school teacher, Service League of Boys and Pura Vida.
"I really love the people side of this business and consider it an honor to help my clients, who are making one of the biggest and most important decisions of their lives, as seamless as possible."
Jane is a member of the New Canaan Board of Realtors, the Connecticut MLS, the Connecticut Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
