Rising from the banks of the Naugatuck River, Naugatuck is a valley community. A vivacious industrial past provides Naugatuck with a rich and diverse heritage.

Charles Goodyear an industrialist, in the beginning of the 1800s, put Naugatuck on the map as a core part for the production of chemicals and rubber and innovation. Renowned building designers, Henry Bacon, Stanford White and others, contributed to the community's cultural assets with their extraordinary architecture.

The Town Library, schools and a train station combined historical museum, were structures all developed and designed by noteworthy architects commissioned by the community's early settled families.

Naugatuck's convenient location along Route 8 and close to Interstate 84 makes it an ideal and comfortable place to live. Naugatuck's neighborhoods are made up of pleasant Capes, expansive ranches and stately new construction on lots of all sizes and prices in a wide range.
