Pear Tree Point Beach--one of the most beautiful beaches in Fairfield County--offers swimming, a handicap-accessible picnic area, picnic tables and grills, a concession stand, a boat launch, and 300 moorings managed by the town harbor master.

The mean travel time to work is 34.6 minutes. North Hampstead is 22.8 miles and the Bronx, New York is 25.8 miles. The nearest Amtrak station is four miles away in Stamford at the corner of Washington Boulevard & E. State Street.
