A growing community on the southeastern tip of Litchfield County, Plymouth is comprised of two villages, Terryville and Pequabuck.

The first major industry in Plymouth was clock making, and even today, light manufacturing still drives the local economy. A small town charm is immediately evident to visitors of Plymouth center, with its historic homes built for the early industrialists. Plymouths Center Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places.

A vast network of hiking is maintained by the Plymouth Conservatory and Nature Trails. Terryville is home to the country's only lock museum, the Lock Museum of America!
