Warren in Litchfield county, Connecticut

Warren

Warren, one of the less populated and most tranquil communities in Litchfield County, evokes the small town pride of New England with its charming village and scenic roads that wind through woodlands and past ponds.

The community sits on the northern shore of Lake Waramaug, the second largest natural lake in Connecticut, where people take pleasure in boating and fishing. Expansive homes on the water's edge offer awe-inspiring views of the water and hills that surround it.

Warren, along with Morris and Goshen, is a part of Connecticut Region School District 6.

Warren is an environmental delight. Residents enjoy the exquisite beauty of the Shepaug and Upper Shepaug reservoirs, as well as Gritman, Eel, Straits and Bates ponds. Hikers take pleasure in Wyantenock State Forest.

The village center is where Route 45 and Route 341 intersect.

Education

The educational climate index chart is based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s Socioeconomic Status (SES) measure. Factors in this measure are income, educational achievement and occupation of persons within a ZIP code. Because this measure is based on the population of an entire ZIP code, it may not reflect the nature of an individual school.
