The village of Wauregan, Connecticut is located in the town of Plainfield, in the northeastern corner of the state.

Wauregan is part of the Plainfield Public School District. The district has three elementary schools, one middle school, and a high school. The Plainfield High School serves more than 2,000 students. Its drama department has put on shows such as Guys and Dolls, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
