Wales, MA

The town of Wales, Massachusetts is located on the southern border of the state. It is considered part of the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Wales is conveniently located just minutes from Interstate 84 and just under 40 minutes from the city of Springfield.

The town was incorporated in 1775 under the name South Brimfield. However, in 1828 the town was renamed after James Lawrence Wales, a local benefactor. Today, the town is home to a little more 1,800 residents.
