Pelham in Westchester county, New York

Pelham, NY

Pelham, New York is the smallest town in Westchester County, and believed to be one of the best-kept secrets by those who live there.

This town is conveniently located on two commuter lines to New York City. Even by car, the commute to Kennedy airport is only about 30 minutes during non-peak hours.

Pelham shares a border with the Bronx, and may even go unnoticed as travelers pass through the town. However, the 2.2 square miles has much to offer. Vintage 1920s architecture is found in plenty, along with more modern and grandiose homes that sprawl multiple bedrooms and bathrooms across several thousand square feet of prime real estate.

The nostalgic Pelham Picture House is a two-theater cinema built in 1921. It has been recently updated to include more comfortable seating and state of the art equipment. The theater mostly shows independent films and classic cinema. In addition to entertainment, Pelham offers more than 30 dining options, with cuisine from Italy, Japan, France, Thailand, and the Mediterranean.

Pelham is perhaps one of the most coveted addresses in Westchester County due to its close proximity to New York City, its esteemed schools, and its prime real estate.
