Port Chester, New York, is a village of nearly 29,000 residents located in the town of Rye.

From 1990 to 2010, the village experienced a 17% growth in population, nearly double that of the rest of Westchester County. The growth and influence has been referred to as the “lifeblood” of the community.

More than 100 restaurants dot the streets of Port Chester. A variety of cuisine is found, from Latin and Italian, to Chinese and American. A night out on the town isn’t complete without a visit to the landmark Capitol Theater. The theater has hosted many famous acts, such as B.B. King, Bob Dylan, The Black Crowes, and Elvis Costello.

The musical buzz in the town also can be seen in the talented students of Port Chester’s schools. The Port Chester High School Marching band has made appearances at Giants Stadium and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was also used in the film, Spider-man 3, and the 1994 remake of Miracle on 34th Street.
