Yorktown, New York is located on the northern end of Westchester County, about 35 miles from New York City.

Although there are no train stations located in Yorktown, nearby Mount Kisco provides rail service to Grand Central Terminal in about one hour.

This town of more than 36,000 residents has transformed into an idyllic place to raise a young family while experiencing all the amenities of suburban life.

Plenty of spacious parks and outdoor activities are still around to delight the residents of Yorktown. In fact, the Teatown Lake Reservation, a 730-acre nature preserve, is located within the bounds of Yorktown. It is one of the biggest preserves in the country. Bike paths, tennis courts, and golf courses are also found in abundance in the town, as sports are a favorite pastime of many residents in Yorktown.

In addition to outdoor activities, the Jefferson Valley Mall houses department stores such as Macy’s, as well as smaller shops. Shoppers can head over to one of Yorktown’s more than 50 restaurants for a bite to eat. Most are family-friendly and offer a casual atmosphere.
