Narragansett is a small coastal town in Washington County, Rhode Island. Known locally as "Gansett", the town of Narragansett occupies a narrow strip of land running along the eastern bank of the Pettaquamscutt River to the shore of Narragansett Bay. Fishermen's Memorial State Park and Point Judith Lighthouse are also popular destinations. Narragansett offers a ferry that provides easy access to Block Island and Newport. In addition, Narragansett has an array of outdoor activities including fishing, boating and swimming. There are also numerous shopping destinations and fine dining opportunities.
