Barrington, Rhode Island is located on the eastern border of the state. Its hometown feel, various parks and great schools have drawn the nearly 17,000 residents to Barrington. Barrington is rich with history and its land was originally granted to settlers from the Mayflower.

Barrington's more than 16 square miles is nearly half water, being a coastal community with many inlets, lakes, and tributaries. The various bodies of water make it an ideal place for fishing, canoeing, water skiing and other water related activities.

Those that enjoy boating will find ample opportunities at Latham park or Walker Farm, where fishing is a popular sport.

Haines Memorial Park is favorite of residents and visitors alike. The park boasts more than 75 acres including a dog park, athletic fields, picnic spots, and a boat launch.

Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the Osamequin Nature Trail or, in the summertime, the Barrington town beach offering views of Narragansett Bay. The widely recognized, and beautiful Rhode Island Country Club has found its home in Barrington and is consistently ranked as one the best in the country.

Commuting to the nearby large city of Providence is just a fifteen minute drive.
