The quiet village of Greenville is nestled in the town of Smith, Rhode Island. It is conveniently located in the north-central part of the state, just three minutes from Providence.

Although located close to Providence, Greenville retains the quiet comforts of nature. Steere Orchard is one of Rhode Island's largest apple orchards. It is a fourth generation orchard that has roots back to 1930. In addition to pick-your-own, their farm stand sells peaches, pumpkins, gourds squash, jam, Indian corn, apple cider, apple butter, and local honey.

The Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge is a 120-acre nature lover's retreat featuring hiking trails, birdwatching, a library, and a gift shop. It is maintained by the Audubon society.

Greenville also offers other casual dining spots, including Kounty Kitchen, a popular place to eat breakfast and The Powder Mill Creamery and Coffee which offers treats to satisfy any sweet tooth.

For those wishing to have the familiarity of popular American chain restaurants, there is also Burger King, A&W, McDonald’s, and Applebees.
