Middletown, Rhode Island is located on beautiful Aquidneck Island in the Narragansett Bay. The former farming town is now mostly developed land. The rural heritage of the town remains on the eastern side of Middletown.

The population currently rests at just over 16,000. However, there are those that have discovered this hidden gem, and the community has responded by providing plenty of choices in lodging, recreation, and dining.

Sachuset Point National Wildlife Refuge is a 242-acre nature refuge. The refuge provides an excellent opportunity to spot deer, wildflowers, and dunes while strolling through the gravel paths that wind through the seaside park. The spot may very well be a photographer's dream come true.

Casual dining options are common throughout Middletown. Seafood restaurants provide fresh lobster, fish and chips, calamari and other tasty delights. For those not inclined towards seafood, there are pizza and burger restaurants, as well as cafes.
