Named after a community in Devonshire, England, Colebrook is located on the Massachusetts border in northeastern Litchfield County.
This attractive community is one of the most sparsely settled in all of Connecticut.
A comfortable amount of industry has developed in the town since 1800, but the community has successfully kept its irresistible historic feel. Pristine 18th century homes add quiet grace and class to the village, while contemporary construction can be found on quiet wooded lots outside town.
A variety of social and cultural programs are provided for people of all ages by the Colebrook Senior and Community Center. Exercise classes, trips, health services and daily lunches are all on the list of programs. Transportation to and from the building can be provided.
Colebrook is home to Camp Jewell YMCA, located on a stunning 540-acre plot of land surrounding Triangle Lake. In operation since 1901, it offers young ones and families camping, boating, fishing and swimming.
