OUR EFFORTS
BHHS has solidified its commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) by establishing a dedicated council with representatives from all 60+ offices. In addition, specialized sub-groups, including committees for community outreach and affordable housing, are now actively shaping the company's ongoing commitment to fostering inclusivity and making a positive impact in the community.

- Unifying our collective skills, talents and perspectives to develop a culture where everyone feels welcomed, accepted, respected and valued in the workplace
- Bringing in bi-annual training resources to continue to educate employees and agents on topics such as Unconscious Bias, Inclusive language, etc.
- Collaborating with our internal DE & I Committee to ensure a platform where our agents voices are heard on issues that impact underrepresented groups
- Upholding the tenants of the Fair Housing Act to protect people from discrimination when they seek information or services, to rent, buy or sell real estate.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The BHHS DE&I Scholarship Program represents a significant stride in increasing and retaining minority diversity within their organization. The program offers financial assistance in the form of a one-time subsidy to offset licensing expenses for eligible real estate agents. Shirene Hazel, Chairwoman of the DE&I Committee, added, "Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just words at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices; they are principles that guide our actions. Through the DE&I Scholarship Program, we aim to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to pursue rewarding careers in real estate. We believe that by providing financial support, mentorship, and opportunities, we can make a lasting impact on our industry."
