North Providence has all the conveniences of living near a large city, while maintaining an atmosphere of suburban living.

The town of North Providence, Rhode Island is situated in the northeastern part of the state. The city is close to Providence and its main attractions while maintaining a suburban atmosphere. There are two major roads that run through the city.

A few recreational parks dot the city's landscape. The Peter Randall State Park offers views of Providence and the surrounding towns and is a great place to enjoy a picnic. The Governor Notte Park features a beach, tennis courts, and baseball fields. The Stephen Olney Park offers a skate park, basketball courts, tennis courts, and baseball fields.

North Providence offers a variety of dining options. In fact, there are nearly 100 restaurants in North Charleston; an impressive feat for a city of less than six square miles.

There are six elementary schools in North Providence, all educating children in grades K-5. There are two middle school enrolling children in grades 6-8. The North Providence High School has around 1,200 students enrolled in grades 9-12.
